In this article, I will drop some helpful tips that are the staple to any successful blog article. For some bloggers, these tips may seem like common sense, but most are failing to polish their work. Drill these into your daily habits and you will be a step above the rest.
Summarize The Article
Keep visitors from bouncing. A reader will decide if they want to continue into the article based on the first two sentences. Create a strong first impression that will engage the reader instantly. Enticing summaries can keep your audience around all day sifting through archives and related posts. That leads to more page views in the end result!
Format Your Text
Stay organized and digestible. Use headings, sub headings and bullet points. Most readers won’t stick around for large paragraphs so keep it simple. I would suggest keeping paragraphs down to about 3-4 sentences when possible.
Use Quality Imagery
Your visual aids play a large role in attracting readers just like any book. Be sure to use high quality images that are relevant to the content. I use the free stock sites like sxc.hu.
Spend Extra Time Polishing Your Writing
You’ve already spent the better part of an hour or two writing your article, so why not review and polish? Going the extra mile to proof read, and add in extra snippets. Fine-tuning will not go unappreciated. Add in extra visuals and link back to your sources.
Always Give More Than Expected
Over-delivering on your promise is a great tip for business altogether. Keep your readers coming back for more with bonuses. Leave extra key points and side hints. Share your knowledge to the fullest.
